Thomas Sedgwick [Ralph Sedgwick / Jane Noble] In 1841 Thomas is a farmer living in Hamsterley. He is variously described as a farmer, smelter and labourer in baptism records. The details of this family were sent to me by a researcher in 1988. I have added a bit to her findings folowing inspection of the 1861 to 1901 census returns. A Joseph and Ralph Sidgwick were both described as being farmers of Egglestone in 1816. Ralph is believed to have been born in Stanhope. |
