It is very likely that this family is descended from the Dartford family but the connection has yet to be made.

In 1812 Giles Sedgwick married Catherine Smith Dozell - he died in 1815 with Catherine Smith Sedgwick as his executrix. Giles has recently been linked to this Yorkshire family.

Baptisms of several children to Stephen and Ann Sedgwick could be one or two families - children have been found from 1761 to 1798. This is shown as two families here until burial records can be found to prove otherwise.
