| Peter Sedgwick [William Sedgwick / Margaret Ashurst] b. 12 September 1796 Wigan, Lancashire m Jane Hambleton 1823 d probably 1865 (BMD) In the 1851 census Peter was described as a brewer like his brother Thomas. In 1861 Peter and Jane are joined by their son Charles and his family. Jane is still with the couple in 1871 described as an annuitant! There are 2 William's of about the same age in Wigan - it is believed that it is Peter's son who married and had children. As usual more proof is needed. |
