Edward Parsons Sedgwick [John Sedgwick / Frances Pope?] Edward was a gold beater, later a gold leaf manufacturer, living in London. In 1858 the family were in Bristol perhaps because of his trade or a family connection. As one of Edward's children was living in Bristol in 1881 this connection is doubly important to discover - was the area particularly important in the gold trade? A William Sedgwick married Susannah Parsons in 1790 at Whitechapel - any connection? |
