George Sedgwick
[William Sedgwick / Ann Yare] George, Jane and Thomas are living together in Old Hutton, Grayrigg in 1841. George and William are working as agricultural labourers. A slight query hangs over my construction of this family. In 1881 two of Ann's grandchildren are living with George junior and family described as George's niece and nephew - their father James Jackson Nelson is described as a widower. In 1851 a George Sedgwick described as a schoolmaster is living with Ann and her family. However the profession of schoolmaster does not fit 'this' George - can anyone assist with this? |
