John Sedgwick of Arncliffe
John was a blacksmith of Arncliffe, Yorkshire. According to the IGI, his father was also named John. The 1881 census states that his grandsons by his second marriage were farmers in a big way - several hundred acres in some instances. The descendants of the first marriage seem to have been more humble. There are sketchy details of possible links to both Canada and Australia. |
