George Sedgwick [Francis Sedgwick / Isabella Hunter] George was a member of a Quaker family - a boon for family historians as a wealth of information was routinely recorded for posterity. At the time of his baptism George is described as; George Sedgwick son of Francis of Bainbridge Wensleydale Hosier, son of John Sedgwick of Bainbridge Farm by Ann daughter of - Levens, and Isabell daughter of John Hunter of Dent Husbandman aged 22 last March In the 1841 census George and his second wife Martha are living at Dale Head, Barden, Grassington with their youngest child Martha. |
