William Sedgwick [Thomas Sedgwick / Ellin Matthews] William was a freeholder and farmer in 1851. There were two Williams living in the area at this time - the other William is here. The details of this family have now been confirmed by a desendant. Son William is named as executor of his father's will - he is the only William Sedgwick in Sedbergh and he states that he was born in Dent.
