George Sedgwick [William Sedgwick /Isabella Myers] This line of the family is alleged to be descended from a John Wat Sedgwick circa 1147. As a cynic I don't accept this research at face value especially as no notes survive to help us judge the previous findings in context. It would be nice to prove or disprove it. Whilst a lot of data is available for this family, it will only be added once it has been reresearched. In the 1851 census George, Rachel, John and Richard are living in Barnsley - Richard aged 8! In 1861 the family are in Middlesbrough. In 1871 George and Rachael are living in Middlesborough and in 1881 George is lodging in Linthorpe. In 1891 he is a pauper in the household of Thomas and Isabella Milburn in Hutton Rudby - believed to be his sister Isabella.
