Maria Sedgwick [Edward Sedgwick / Elizabeth Marshall] In 1841 Maria and children are living with an Eliza Sedgwick in Hunslet. Eliza is described as independant and is living in Shape Street. Maria is a milliner. The baptisms of William and Matilda indicate no fathers name although their sister Sophia's marriage entry gives her father as William Varley, wireworker. It must be assumed that Maria never married but that all the children can be attributed to William Varley. |
